    We have to remember that food is not just calories, and carbohydrates, and something that's going to cause us to gain weight. It's providing us with absolutely essential nutrients that the body requires to function, to produce energy, to support cell turnover, the regeneration of tissues, cognitive function. Every aspect of health is, is impacted by nutrition, and so simply shutting off our appetite and not eating is going to have really detrimental consequences.
