Particle Podcast API now covers 35,000+ podcasts

Thank you for signing up for the Particle Data Platform. It’s only been a few weeks since our initial launch, but we’ve been heads-down building the most comprehensive podcast intelligence layer available, with speaker-identified transcripts, search, ad detection, and more.

Going forward, we'll be sending occasional updates like this one when we ship new features or improvements.

🆕 What's new:

• Expanded coverage: We’ve expanded our coverage to 35,000+ podcasts with full transcripts including speaker diarization and identification.

• Audience size insights: Each podcast now includes links across 25+ directories and social platforms such as YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, plus per-platform audience and engagement signals (followers, plays, views, engagement rates) where available.

• MCP server: Point Claude, Codex, or your favorite agent at mcp.particle.pro to query data via an MCP. It comes with ready-to-use tools for podcast search, entity lookups, mention searches, ad and clip discovery, and company profiles.

• Podcast rankings: You can now track daily Apple and Spotify chart positions including discovery, history, and movers, via /podcasts/rankings. Our popularity scores are driven by these signals, meaning API ordering will actually reflect what's trending right now.

• Publishers as first-class entities: We've elevated publishers to first-class entities. With /podcasts/publishers, publishers now have their own slugs and ranked metrics. Per-podcast signals — including bias, brand suitability, and rankings — now roll up across each publisher's catalog, and new cross-publisher leaderboards let you compare publishers by political lean, brand safety, or exposure to any GARM category.

• Brand suitability: We’ve introduced industry-standard risk and advertiser-fit assessments. You can now analyze per-category prevalence, view evidence excerpts, and track deterministic trends.

• New ways to look up podcasts: Find podcasts by the identifiers you already have. /podcasts/lookup resolves Apple/iTunes IDs, Spotify IDs, YouTube channels, Instagram accounts, and RSS feeds.

• Embed codes: Paste-ready HTML for any episode or clip, ready for CMS drops.

• Search & transcript improvements: You can now use quoted phrases for exact keyword matches, and we've paginated our transcripts with documented chunking to make them easier to handle. Need to resolve multiple entities at once? Just drop in a comma-separated query. We're also ranking competitors by a new composite prominence score.

• Alerts & Digests: Real-time or scheduled digest notifications for mentions and guest appearances.

• Radar: A new web UI for searching Podcast Intelligence and configuring alerts (no code).

• Guest intelligence: A new /podcasts/guests surface — search the guest directory by topic, podcast, or recency; pull lifetime appearance history and top shows for any guest; see who's trending; and explore overlap with other guests, hosts, and sponsors.

• Ratings & reviews: Listener ratings and review text.

• Easier new-episode discovery: Batched podcast_ids filters and an added_since watermark for exactly-once resumable polling.
