Pick any show’s back catalog and get full text in minutes
Hello,
We’ve just shipped Episode Archive Transcription On Demand in the Particle Podcast Intelligence API. Millions of episodes are already transcribed and ready to query today, but with Episode Archive Transcription On Demand, you can request that any remaining episodes from our back catalog be transcribed.

Browse the archive. Filter any show by
transcript_status=requestableto see the episodes waiting to be transcribed.Request it.
POST /v1/podcasts/transcription/requestswith an episode ID. Most episodes are ready within a few minutes.Check the status. Poll the request or the episode’s
transcript_statusuntil it readstranscribed. Note: Episodes under an hour long are usually transcribed in under two minutes. Episodes over two hours will take around six minutes.
Once it’s done, the episode gets the same enriched output as the rest of the library: speaker-attributed dialogue, word-level timestamps, speaker expertise, and more.

On demand transcription requests are billed separately and don't use your plan’s included requests, so it keeps working after you’ve used them up. You only pay for transcripts we deliver:
If a transcription fails (e.g., the CDN has since removed the audio file), we automatically refund the charge.
If you request an episode that’s already transcribed or already in the queue, it costs the same as a regular episode lookup.
This means you can get a show’s entire history, not only its recent episodes. There is no limit on how many episodes you can request (within the API’s general rate limit of 10,000 requests per minute).
