I would just always have to, like, stick up for myself, sadly.

  2. William Gao· Guest0:05

    That's so cool.

  3. Yasmin Finney· Guest0:05

Being trans in this day and age, you've gotta, you know, stick up for yourself.

  4. William Gao· Guest0:08

    What a vibe.

  5. Yasmin Finney· Guest0:09

And so I had, I had to show people that I'm not to be messed with.

  6. Tia Kofi· Host0:11

Welcome to The Common Room. How are we doing today?

  7. Yasmin Finney· Guest0:16

    Good.

  8. William Gao· Guest0:16

    Feeling good.

  9. Yasmin Finney· Guest0:17

    Yeah.

  10. William Gao· Guest0:17

    Feeling fresh. Feeling lovely.

  11. Tia Kofi· Host0:19

  12. William Gao· Guest0:21

    How are you feeling?

  13. Tia Kofi· Host0:22

    I'm feeling good, actually.

  14. William Gao· Guest0:23

    Nice.

  15. Tia Kofi· Host0:23

    Ready to get into it.

  16. Yasmin Finney· Guest0:24

    Ooh.

  17. Tia Kofi· Host0:24

And have a chat about all things Heartstopper.

  18. Yasmin Finney· Guest0:27

    Okay, I'm ready.

  19. Tia Kofi· Host0:28

So I've got to ask you both straight off the bat, you've done several series of the show, and now we've got a movie. You are movie stars. That is a fact. You can put that on your Instagram bio. How different is it doing sort of the TV series to the film?

  20. Yasmin Finney· Guest0:42

I think the overall atmosphere is just different. I feel like it feels bittersweet because it is the very last thing that we do together.

  21. William Gao· Guest0:50

    Yeah.

  22. Yasmin Finney· Guest0:50

    So it's, it's quite sad.

  23. Tia Kofi· Host0:52

After this, I was gonna say contractually you're no longer allowed to make eye contact with each other after the podcast.

  24. Yasmin Finney· Guest0:57

    Exactly.

  25. Tia Kofi· Host0:58

    That's it.

  26. Yasmin Finney· Guest0:58

    Don't look at me.

  27. Tia Kofi· Host0:58

Well, how was doing the movie for you?

  28. William Gao· Guest1:00

I really enjoyed it. I felt we got to play with the characters in more different ways, yeah.

  29. Tia Kofi· Host1:15

    That's gorgeous.

  30. William Gao· Guest1:16

    Yeah.

  31. Tia Kofi· Host1:16

Do you reckon Tao would have liked to have directed this Heartstopper movie?

  32. William Gao· Guest1:19

Tao would have loved to have done it, yeah. He would have really reveled in a directorial debut.

  33. Tia Kofi· Host1:24

So the two of you, your characters have had somewhat of a tumultuous relationship. That
