Alex, you know that Climbing Gold turned five earlier this year. We've been doing this for a hot second.
Alex Honnold· Host0:07
That is hard to believe. It's hard to believe that it's been five years. [laughs] Kinda like it's disappeared in a blur of, of raising two little kids and, and talking to other people. [laughs] You know, I can't help but feel like every time we do Climbing Gold episodes, I'm like, I'm just talking to other folks who are climbing how I should be climbing. Fitz Cahall· Host0:25
I think you're doing pretty good, dude.
Alex Honnold· Host0:27

Fitz Cahall· Host0:27

And you shared this memory of walking into a New York City gym and watching a young climber just absolutely, like, bearing down on these pinches and, you know, you said... You told me your, like, jaw dropped. And you had this point that basically it was something to the effect of the numbers suggest that the person who alters our sport in the next generation isn't gonna come from the, a climbing family, uh, where they're climbing outside all the time, or from Boulder where they have really good coaching. It's just gonna come from the big cities because the numbers just make sense. How do you feel
