In fact, the London stock market is enjoying its best start to the year for nearly three decades as it closes in on the eleven thousand mark. The gains so far this year are eight point eight percent. It's been helped by the Tasty 20, the stocks that have all gone up over fifty percent. But before we get there, Simon, just a reminder, why the rise? And also, I'm curious, what happened in nineteen ninety-eight?

In nineteen ninety-eight, something called the dotcom boom was just getting a bit of a run-up and starting to move into full swing. Um, that was mainly a US phenomenon, but markets were, were riding high and doing well.
