Why do streets crack? [upbeat music] Hi, welcome to Curious Kids Everyday. I'm Josh. How are you doing today? It's so good to hear from you. Hey, have you ever been walking on the sidewalk and seen cracks in the cement? [footsteps] Like something slammed into it and broke it. [crashing] [upbeat music] Have you ever seen those kinds of cracks on the street? You know, the street and the sidewalk are made of different things, but they can crack for the same reasons. [car engine] And you can always tell when you're driving over a cracked street. [bumping] It's always a little more bumpy. Have you ever been in the car with your family and suddenly, [bumping] "Oh, what was that?" And one of your parents said, "We went over a pothole." What is a pothole?
