Why can't we feel the Earth spinning? [upbeat music] Hi, welcome to Curious Kids Everyday. I'm Josh. How are you doing today? It's so good to hear from you. I have a little bit of a cold today, so if my voice sounds a little different, that's why. Hey, you know how the Earth is always spinning? [gentle music] How long does it take for the Earth to spin around one time? Yep, it takes one day. That's what a day is. It's the time it takes the Earth to do a full rotation. It takes 24 hours for the Earth to do one spin. And the Earth is absolutely huge, isn't it? So that spin has to be pretty fast, right? But when you walk around outside, [door opening] does it feel like you're spinning? [birds chirping] It's actually kind of peaceful outside, isn't it? You would think that if you were really spinning that fast, it'd be hard to walk around. How is it that the Earth is spinning so fast, but it seems like we're just standing still?
