Why are sloths so slow? [upbeat music] Hi, welcome to Curious Kids Everyday. I'm Josh. How are you doing today? It's so good to hear from you. Hey, have you ever seen a sloth before? [upbeat music] If you were going to describe a sloth, what's a word you would use? I would use the word slow. So slow. In fact, the word sloth actually means lazy. [laughs] Poor little sloth. Have you ever wondered why sloths move so slowly? I was thinking about this question today because I got an email from a curious kid named Elio. Elio wondered, "Why are sloths so slow?" Well, let's figure it out today. [upbeat music] Now, despite their name, sloths are not actually lazy. They're so slow because that's what their bodies are built to do, be slow.
