Welcome to The Athletic Football Show. I'm Robert Mays. Ranking NFC supporting casts today. We did the AFC last week with me and Derek Klassen, doing the NFC today. Just a quick note about the methodology here. This is a combination not only of the players involved and the offensive line quality, the talent level of the skill position players, the talent level at running back. This also takes into account just the overall environment and ecosystem with these teams. So what are the play callers and what are the offensive staffs overall doing to lift the quarterback? So just one, like, little wrinkle that makes things a little bit, I'd just say honestly subjective compared to what other versions of this exercise could look like. I think the same way it was with the AFC and the NFC, I'm probably weighing some of the environmental and ecosystem concerns maybe a little bit heavier than Derek is, and explains a couple of the gaps that we have in our list. But there are also a couple fun areas of disagreement on this show with us having teams higher or lower than the other person. So let's get to our NFC supporting cast rankings right now.
