We don’t really want to pray, and reading our Bible doesn’t sound exciting.Being honest about not wanting God isn’t unbelief, but it may uncover areas of our life where we’re believing a lie or not dealing with sin. There are so many things in life that compete for our affections, but God will meet us in our insufficiency and invites us to go deeper in our faith. Yeah, I don't be feeling like praying. I don't be feeling like thinking. [laughs] I don't be feeling like reading. [laughs] I don't be feeling like doing all the stuff all the time. And I, I think, I think there can be this assumption that Christians who walk in like a leadership space and have some degree of maturity and biblical literacy, that they just be out here just, "Oh, I can't wait to pray" and it's just like, no. [laughs] Like I l- I, I really don't be one to do all the things often.

[laughs] I think that's every Christian though, if we're- I know ... if we're honest, yeah. I think, you know, it's, the Christian walk can be, um, yeah, it can be rough. It can ha- it has its, it's like any other relationship. It has its, you know, ebbs and, you know, highs, ups and lows. And so, you know, I be weary of, like leery of those C- Christians who walking around here acting like, you know, they chipper every minute of the day. I think that's just not
