Hi, listeners. Last week's episode featured Nanda Nunnelly, who survived the deadly twenty eleven tornado in Joplin, Missouri. As the tornado tore through Nanda's house, she was suddenly struck by a memory of bullying another girl, Kristi Davis, in eighth grade. As the tornado tore through Nanda's house, she was suddenly struck by a memory of bullying another girl, Kristi Davis, in eighth grade. As she huddled in her closet fearing for her life, she had a vivid thought, "I'll never get to apologize to Kristi." After Nanda survived, she reached out to Kristi and made that apology. Today, we hear from Kristi Davis, the woman Nanda bullied as a teenager. Kristi tells her own life story, her account of the apology, and the subsequent healing that took place. If you haven't heard Nanda's story from last week, I urge you to listen to hers first before listening to Kristi's today to get the full context of what happened. These two stories were brought to us by and co-produced with Pauline Bartolone and were funded in part by UC Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center as part of its Spreading Love Through the Media initiative, supported by the John Templeton Foundation. But now, on to Kristi's story for today's episode, What If Your Bully Actually Apologized?
