Today's episode features Mirsad Selakovic, a survivor of the Bosnian Genocide. Before we begin this episode, it will help to give some brief background of the Bosnian War, which is incredibly complex, and this will be a very, very incomplete portrait. But it will help give some context to Mirsad's experiences, and I encourage you all to research more about it. The Bosnian War was a three-year armed conflict that took place in what is now Bosnia and Herzegovina between 1992 and 1995.
