[upbeat music] Prime Minister Mark Carney has chosen former Supreme Court judge Louise Arbour as Canada's next governor general. Arbour is a Francophone with a long legal resume. She serves as a UN human rights commissioner and has experience prosecuting war crimes in Rwanda and Yugoslavia. Now, her focus will be on Canada as a representative of the King and commander-in-chief of the Canadian Armed Forces, and at a time when national unity is under threat and separate sentiment- separatist sentiment is on the rise.
