This was bigger than people buying banks, it was bigger than crypto. It was on par with the entire allocation to just broad global equities.

  2. Alec Renehan· Host0:07

    Yeah.

  3. Bryce Leske· Host0:07

    So this was hot.

  4. Alec Renehan· Host0:08

That is people with a long-term time horizon and an unconstrained investment menu saying, "Give me all the leverage."

  5. Bryce Leske· Host0:15

Yeah. Equitimates. This episode is proudly brought to you by Betashares Direct, and given that we are part of the Betashares group, we have been given access to the buying and selling data on Betashares Direct so we can s- draw some insight into how we've been investing.

  6. Alec Renehan· Host0:30

It's been a volatile year for Australian investors, and we wanna unpack what's hot and what's not, or particularly what's hot, what's being, uh, being bought. And then we're gonna unpack some key themes that emerge from the data that have been really strong in the first half of the year, and we can chat about whether we think they will tail off or whether they'll continue for the second half of the year. Let's start with what has been most popular. I think that's a good place to start. Why don't you tell us, Bryce, what's hot?

  9. Bryce Leske· Host1:26
