    [news music] This is World Report. Good morning. I'm John Northcott. We begin in the Strait of Hormuz, where Iran's Revolutionary Guard has fired on three cargo ships and seized two of them. [on radio] Iranian state media say the vessels were targeted for alleged maritime violations. There are renewed fears this could jeopardize the ceasefire US President Donald Trump agreed to extend just last night. The CBC's Tom Perry is in Jerusalem for us. Tom, what do we know about the vessels that were attacked this morning?

    Well, one of the vessels, a, a Greek-flagged ship, suffered, uh, damage to its bridge. Uh, a Panamanian vessel was hit in the hull, a- and a third ship that's also Panamanian-flagged reported no damage. Now, the Revolutionary Guards say, uh, they've seized at least two of those ships, um,
