There were so many videos. There were so many just of this sort of like universal voice that was saying, "We need help. We cannot fight this alone. These people are killing us with military grade weapons."
Konstantin Kisin· Host0:13
I'm worried the, the administration and others have called for people to rise up, only for them to be killed for nothing.
Elica Le Bon· Guest0:25
I think everybody understands and anticipates that they m- very well might not come home. But what else do you do? The war is one step. The uprisings, possibly armed uprisings, is another, and defection is the other. And I think that those two things, if they're neglected, we're not gonna have the regime change, and I think ultimately, this is the time to do it. The worst case scenario is that the war ends and the regime remains in power. Would've been better that there was no war at all.
Konstantin Kisin· Host0:51
Elika, welcome back to the show.
Elica Le Bon· Guest0:55
Thank you for having me.
Konstantin Kisin· Host0:56
Uh, every time we put out an episode where the guest is somewhat critical o- of the war in Iran, uh, all the comments are like, "You need to speak to an Iranian." [laughs] So you, you... h- here you are, uh, for diversity purposes.
Elica Le Bon· Guest1:08
Diversity.
Konstantin Kisin· Host1:09
Yeah.
Elica Le Bon· Guest1:09
Oh, my gosh, or maybe authority.
Konstantin Kisin· Host1:11
Autho- auth- okay.
Elica Le Bon· Guest1:12
[laughs] Diversity.
Konstantin Kisin· Host1:13
This is gonna- Don't hit me with the diversity. [laughs] She's here for authority, guys.
Elica Le Bon· Guest1:17
Yeah.
Konstantin Kisin· Host1:17
[laughs] Uh, this is gonna be an interesting one. All right. Uh, so welcome back. Obviously, the subject is a serious one even though we're joking around. Tell us, you know, uh, what your take is on everything that's been going on.
