We Don’t Need PlayStation 6 Yet, We Have PS5 At Home - IGN Beyond 932
2/4/20261 hr 2 min
The PlayStation 5 will have been out for six years this fall, which is usually when console manufacturers start looking ahead to next-gen hardware. But that might not be the case for Sony anytime soon, as one industry analyst claims a variety of factors will see the PlayStation 6’s launch pushed to 2029 or later. We have mixed feelings about this, but ultimately, we don’t really feel like the PS5 has hit its stride quite yet, and while it’s a great machine, there are plenty of players still able to play some of the most popular games on PS4. So, maybe the solution on the hardware front isn’t a new generation of powerful hardware, but some different iterations of current gen that take into account how people are playing. After all, 7% of PS5 owners in the US also picked up a PlayStation Portal, which suggests they’d be willing to sacrifice fidelity and screen real estate for a more intimate gaming experience. In other news, a new set of PlayStation accessories for Figma action figures includes a 1:12 scale replica of Bloodborne, and yet more evidence emerges that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag is getting a remake any day now, and it’s such an open secret, even Ubisoft is making jokes about it. Beyond, and hello, and welcome once again to IGN's weekly PlayStation show. I'm your host, Max Scoville, and coming up, the PlayStation 6 might not be here for quite some time, and maybe that's for the best. Plus, Bloodborne is getting a re-release of sorts that should appeal to a very, very small audience, quite literally. Let's get into it. [upbeat music] A well-built wardrobe is about pieces that work together and hold up over time. That's what Quince does best, premium materials, thoughtful design, and everyday staples that feel easy to wear and easy to rely on, even as the weather shifts. Quince has the everyday essentials that'll make a solid addition to any wardrobe with quality that lasts: organic cotton sweaters, polos for every occasion, lighter jackets that keep you warm in the changing seasons, and plenty more options for any climate or occasion, from formal suits for important business meetings to casual bathing suits for equally important business pool parties. Quince works directly with top factories and cuts out the middleman, so you're not paying for brand markup, just quality clothing. Everything is built to hold up to daily wear and still look good season after season. Plus, they only partner with factories that meet rigorous standards for craftsmanship and ethical production. I got a nice cashmere sweater that doesn't cost a fortune and goes with just about everything else I already own. It's versatile enough to go with jeans and sneakers for ordinary outings, nice enough that I can wear it to a fancy dinner on date night, ooh-la-la, and comfortable enough that I can also just wear it around the house if I want a cozy night in.
