All right. Hey, everybody. It's me, Sam Stein, here with Bill Kristol. You are not imagining things. This is not MAGA Mondays. I'm not Andrew Edgar. This is Morning Shots Live, Tuesday, May 5th. Happy Cinco de Mayo, Bill.

  3. Bill Kristol· Host0:27

And happy Cinco de Mayo to you. And just to be clear, Andrew Edgar has not been fired, disciplined, benched, or- Yet ... suspended yet. He's just, has a bad sore throat, and so Sam, uh, um, uh, hap- was happy, I think, to, to, uh, step in.

  4. Sam Stein· Host0:42

As, as far as I understand it- So thank you.

  5. Bill Kristol· Host0:42

Thank you for stepping in. Thank you for stepping in, Sam. Yeah.

  6. Sam Stein· Host0:45

As far as I understand it, Andrew is at Trump Tower now getting one of those taco bowls that Trump tweeted about 10 years ago for Cinco de Mayo.

  7. Bill Kristol· Host0:53

    [laughs] Oh, boy.

  8. Sam Stein· Host0:53

Just can't stay away, that guy. He loves them so much. Um, all right, we're gonna talk about some stuff today. We got a host of, uh, things to discuss. Ballroom shenanigans. Pete Hegseth had a little briefing this morning. Uh, what else did we want to talk about, Bill? There... We- we'll, we'll make it a potpourri. We can go different places you want to go. I want to start with the ballroom.

  9. Bill Kristol· Host1:13

    Yeah.

  10. Sam Stein· Host1:14

So setting this up, last night, um... Well, I guess I got to stop back, step back a little further. Republicans in Congress are considering a reconciliation bill, and not to bore listeners right out of the gate, but a reconciliation bill is something you could pass with a party line vote
