After threatening to hit Iran very hard and take control of its energy hubs in the not-too-distant future yesterday, President Donald Trump has suddenly canceled the planned strikes overnight.

He's hit the brakes. So as you and Anna were speaking about yesterday, there's been an escalation in fighting this week, and that's had world leaders calling for calm. And earlier, Iran's foreign ministry said that the current temporary ceasefire had been left practically meaningless by the exchange of attacks in the past two days. And late last night, the fighting looked to be ramping up again, with the US launching a series of attacks on Iranian targets, including on air defense sites.
