Tommy Robinson On Prison, Censorship & Why Britain Will Change

6/23/202655 min

Tommy Robinson joins Karl Stefanovic for one of his most extensive interviews yet.

One of the UK's most controversial public figures, Robinson has spent more than a decade at the centre of debates over illegal immigration, Islamist extremism, grooming gangs and the limits of free expression. Admired by supporters as someone willing to challenge the establishment and condemned by critics as a divisive political activist, he remains one of the defining figures in Britain's culture wars.

In this candid interview, Robinson reflects on his time in prison and solitary confinement, the impact of being removed from major social media platforms, his views on Elon Musk restoring debate on X, the failures he believes have fuelled public anger, and why he says Britain is undergoing a profound political and cultural shift. He also discusses Reform UK, Nigel Farage, the future of conservatism and why he believes millions of disillusioned voters could reshape British politics.

The pair discuss:

• The resignation of Keir Starmer

• Britain's immigration debate

• Grooming gangs and policing

• Free speech and censorship

• Prison and solitary confinement

• Elon Musk and X

• Nigel Farage and Reform UK

• Why millions of Britons don't vote

• National identity and the future of Britain

• Australia's political parallels

Whether you agree with him or not, Tommy Robinson remains one of the most influential and divisive voices in Britain's culture wars.

Our next guest is one of Britain's most controversial public figures. For more than a decade, Tommy Robinson has been at the center of debates around immigration, grooming, gangs, free speech, and national identity. Loved by supporters and condemned by critics, few figures have had a bigger impact on Britain's cultural wars. Strap yourselves in. Here's our chat with Tommy Robinson. Tommy, great to talk with you finally. I'm surprised you're not dead yet.

  2. Tommy Robinson· Guest0:34

[laughs] So am I. [laughs] I didn't think I'd make it to 40. [laughs] I'm 43. I'm not even joking.

  3. Karl Stefanovic· Host0:39

You have tested... I know you're not.

  4. Tommy Robinson· Guest0:40

    No, I'm not joking.

  5. Karl Stefanovic· Host0:41

You have tested the boundaries. I feel like it's got, you know, even harder for you in some ways.

  6. Tommy Robinson· Guest0:45

    Mm.

  7. Karl Stefanovic· Host0:45

But also, your message is finally getting out there. Is that correct?

  8. Tommy Robinson· Guest0:48

Yeah, it is, because the media and the establishment had the monopoly on the message for so many years. They could tell people who I was, and people believed them. And now, thanks to Elon Musk, um, 'cause there was a period, 2017 to 2024, I was invisible. They deleted me. Deleted me from everything. I mean everything. You couldn't... If you went on Facebook and mentioned my name, they'd delete your post. I was put up as a figure of hate, and there's actually, there's actually an interview with the CEO of Facebook, and it's on Danish TV, and they're questioning him, because what happened was I was invited to Denmark, I spoke at parliament, and then any of the politicians that mentioned my name on the, the poli- lead politicians from Denmark, they had their posts deleted.
