The interviews for this ep were recorded last Friday, actually, at Lord's during the annual MCC Women's Day, which has been running since 2018. Now, back then, it was still a little bit of a novelty having women on the main square. Indeed, from memory, it was Middlesex Women's first ever outing on the main ground that day. But now in 2026, that's less the case as the game evolves for the better year on year. It's in that spirit that we use the occasion to mark the launch of Lacuna's new shirt. Now, this is the shirt I'm wearing here, Women's Cricket. Branding gurus at Lacuna have prepared this. Uh, they're gonna be our World Cup sponsor this summer, but the design of the shirt is simple, reading, "This is women's cricket," with a, a strike through from the line 'women'. It'll be obvious when you look at it. It reinforces the point that's become self-evident over the last decade of profound change as the women's game has professionalized and thrived. Cricket is cricket, whether that's little girls like mine, who in Winnie's case took up All Stars as a five-year-old, or walking out onto the most famous ground in the world.
