This audio is brought to you by Muslim Central Tell me, when the Muslim thinks of iman, what do we think of?
Nouman Ali Khan· Host0:05
We think of iman in Allah. We think of iman in the akhira. We think of iman in yawm al-qiyamah. In qadri khairihi wa shari. We think of iman in the angels. When you think of faith, you think of faith in the unseen, isn't it? And in this ayah, what's the only faith mentioned before this? What's the only matter of faith mentioned before this? The messenger of Allah.

Okay, now the other thing. وَلَكِنَّهُ لَا يُطِيعُكُمْ فِي غَالِبِ مَا تُرِيدُونَ قَبْلَ وُضُحِ وَجْهِهِ لَهُ The Prophet ﷺ has a principle. He doesn't just follow and act on whatever you say. He verifies and looks at it and then makes his own final decision. Allah has given him the license. فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ When you reach the final decision yourself, then just trust in Allah and take the leap. The Prophet ﷺ made worldly decisions against the advice of his companions many times. And he also made decisions that Allah corrected later on. So Allah is not expecting from us to make the right decisions all the time. If he didn't even expect that from his own messenger ﷺ, that is not leadership. That leadership makes the right decisions all the time.
