In November 2004, 21-year-old University of Rochester student Christopher Porco used an axe to murder his father, Peter, and severely injure his mother, Joan, in their Delmar, New York home.

    So why did this college student just kill someone with an ax? Now, the college student's name is Porco, and Porco is 19 years old, going to school in Rochester, New York. And here's the thing about Porco: he really, really wants to be seen as a rich kid, someone with wealthy parents. In fact, he wants this so bad that he lies to everyone on campus. He says his family is very well off and they own multiple oceanfront homes, and he has this big inheritance coming one day. He even spends money that he doesn't really have in order to appear rich. He, like, wears a lot of expensive clothes, and he's always buying rounds of drinks for his friends, like, "Drinks are on me." Now, the problem with spending money like this when you don't have it is eventually you run out. So Porco runs out, and so in 2002, he comes up with a diabolical plan to get some more. He'll just steal some of his parents' stuff and sell it on eBay. So one night, he's back at home at his parents' house for Thanksgiving break, and I guess they're in the other room asleep, and Porco cuts the screen on a window to make it look like someone broke in, and he steals two of his parents' laptops. Later, he sells them on eBay and he makes some cash. The next summer in 2003, he's on break from school again, staying with his parents, and he decides to rob this veterinary clinic where he's working. And so he breaks into
