  1. Gail· Host0:00

[upbeat music] Hello, and welcome to the Yarniacs Podcast. This is episode number 375, which we are recording on Wednesday, May 27th, 2026. I'm Gail.

  2. Charlene· Host0:20

    And I'm Charlene.

  3. Gail· Host0:21

And we're back at the yacht harbor. Hopefully you'll hear some sea lions again. [laughs] And they are definitely sea lions. And I wanted to comment on the last episode at the end, I had downloaded some sea lion sounds that I added to the end of the episode, and those were actual Santa Cruz sea lions. [laughs] Because at the wharf here in town, there are large squares cut out of the wharf, and you can stand there and look down. There are rails so you don't fall in, but you can stand there and look down at the sea lions that are on the, I wanna say the piers of the pier.

  4. Charlene· Host1:00

    The railings. Yeah.

  5. Gail· Host1:02

But yeah, the, yeah, the, the structure beneath- Structure, yeah ... the pier.

  6. Charlene· Host1:04

    Yeah.

  7. Gail· Host1:05

And they, during high tide especially, will l- launch themselves onto these beams. [sea lions barking] [laughs] There we go. Launch themselves onto these beams, and you can stand there and look down at them, and that's where that recording was taken. So it was just such a fun Santa Cruz tie-in there- Yeah, definitely ... to have legitimate Santa Cruz sea lions on the podcast. [laughs] And here we have them again.
