  1. Gail· Host0:00

[upbeat music] Hello, and welcome to the Yarniacs Podcast. This is episode number 365, which we are recording on January 8th, 2026. I'm Gail.

  2. Charlene· Host0:21

    And I'm Charlene.

  3. Gail· Host0:22

I can't believe it. I say this every year, that I can't believe- [laughs] ... it's the next number year, and every time it's true.

  4. Charlene· Host0:28

    Happy New Year.

  5. Gail· Host0:28

[laughs] Yes, Happy New Year. Hopefully everybody's working on something for the Self-Indulgent Knit-Along.

  6. Charlene· Host0:33

    Yes.

  7. Gail· Host0:34

I mean, there are already things in the FO thread, so people are, people are doing it.

  8. Charlene· Host0:38

    Knitting away.

  9. Gail· Host0:39

    Yeah. What are you wearing?

  10. Charlene· Host0:41

[laughs] Well, this week, on Monday to be exact, Gail and I met at the library, and it was so funny because after we had been sitting there for about 15 minutes, we realized we were both wearing the same sweater.

  11. Gail· Host0:58

[laughs] Yes, we were. Uh, completely unplanned. They were even in the same color family.

  12. Charlene· Host1:03

Yes. They were. Very magenta, moving into a purple.

  13. Gail· Host1:10

    Mm-hmm.

  14. Charlene· Host1:10

So what were we wearing? We were both wearing- Can we say the name? ... the Ranunculus.

  15. Gail· Host1:15

    Oh.

  16. Charlene· Host1:16

    Yes.

  17. Gail· Host1:16

The sweater that shall not be named.

  18. Charlene· Host1:18

Yes, by Midori Hirose. And yes, we have called the pattern, jokingly over the years, The Pattern That Must Not Be Named because of its prevalence
