The Ultimate Betrayal That Led To Murder : Episode 507

5/8/202629 min

The murder of Thomas Campbell, a dad of two children, is a story of betrayal at the highest level.

What began as a planned robbery quickly escalated into a brutal and fatal attack inside his own home in Greater Manchester. At the centre of it all was his ex-partner, Coleen Campbell, who passed on key information about his movements - allowing the killers to refine their plans. As the investigation unfolded, phone records, messages, and suspicious behaviour after his death began to reveal the truth behind what really happened. In this episode, I break down the timeline, the evidence, and how one of the most chilling betrayals led to a terrifying murder.

I release episodes every Tuesday and Friday, so please join me on Tuesday for the next episode of the UK True Crime Podcast.

We'll get into your true crime episode in just a moment. When this one is finished, though, make sure your next listen comes from the Always True Crime Network. This show is a part of it, and so is Drunk Women Solving Crime. Every week, comedians Hannah George and Taylor Glenn are joined by a famous face to put their drunk detective skills to the test. The recent episode with Selina Morzinski, also known as Charity Shop Sue, is a must listen, featuring a story involving riot police, a chimney, and an unexpected ending. And there's more alternative true crime from Strangely as well. Poppy Damon and Luke Jones bring together some of the weirdest true stories from around the world. If you haven't heard about the post-work fishing trip that took an extraterrestrial turn, that should definitely be your next listen. Search for Always True Crime to find these shows and more.
