Today on Rates and Barrels, there is a huge transformation happening with the pitching in Colorado. We'll explain how the Rockies are catching up quickly as we open up the mailbag. Let's go. [upbeat music] Welcome to Rates and Barrels. It's Wednesday, April 29th. Derek Van Riper here with Eno Sarris. Lots of news to get to before we open up the mailbag. Eno, how's it going for you on this Wednesday?

  2. Eno Sarris· Host0:31

It's going good. It's going good. I gotta go out there and run 10 miles today. Yes. Yes, I love it.

  3. Derek Van Riper· Host0:36

You're so much better at sticking to your running program than I am. I am a once or twice a week, in a good week, runner, going about 5K at a time, so you're running about seven miles more than me right now, and you're doing it at least one more day a week, probably two. So yeah, a lot of work to do on the personal side.

  4. Eno Sarris· Host0:53

My kids are older. It's a little bit easier [laughs] to get out of the house.

  5. Derek Van Riper· Host0:56

Yeah, I mean, I, I need to just find ways to chase the little guy around and say, "Even though I didn't run 5K continuously, I got my steps in," you know? [laughs] Like, I gotta, I gotta make up more games where I get exercise while, while I'm playing. Uh, but let's get to some news. Justin Steele has had a setback. He's going to be out until after the All-Star break. The Cubs are saying he's got a flexor strain, which popped up while he was rehabbing his way back from Tommy John surgery, and the Cubs' situation right now on the pitching side is in pretty bad
