Stage 18 was a day where they thought the breakaway would go to the line. Everyone was saying it at the start, and everybody agreed it was the last chance for the attackers in this race, but that's not what happened. Instead, Little Trek rode hard, and the sprinters came back into the fold. The big battle on the iconic last climb, the white jersey crashed, then he attacked, and a whole mixture of riders, including Jonas Vingegaard and Jonathan Milan, came to the top of the climb together. And in the end, though, the fastest man in this bike race won a third stage. Chapeau to Paul Magnier and to Soudal Quick-Step. This podcast is proudly sponsored by Science in Sport.
