It was a slower-news, running week, so there were a lot of angry runners arguing on social media about silly (?) things. Naturally, Des and Kara have to weigh in because many of you did already.

But first (!)... Kara gives us a recap of Colt's amazing run in the 2-mile at state, after correcting the record on his 800m PR. His race at state was full of surges, but he finished higher than his seed in 14...

    [upbeat music] What's up, everybody? Welcome to another episode of Nobody Asked Us with Dez and Kara, presented by Brooks Running. This is an episode where we're probably gonna h- get hate mail, but- Yep ... we always get hate mail anyways. That was the pep talk given to us by Chris McClung. [laughs] Ts-ts.

    [laughs] I'm kind of dreading this, actually. Such a slow week in the running world, and there's just really kind of gossipy stuff going on. But I'm doing good.

    Yeah.

    I mean, yeah, I feel like the track season's picking up. It wants to get going.

    It, it, it's getting going, kind of slowly but surely. Yeah.

    Some meets on the horizon. We're gonna see some distance stars step back into action stateside, and then there's Diamond Leagues kind of ramping up. But- Yeah ... I do feel like it's just a weird lull right now.

    It is. It's, like, honestly, like, the only lull because even, I feel like, in the winter there's a marathon every other weekend that- Right ... is happening. It's just, I mean, I guess the, the Diamond League officially kicked off last week, um, which is always exciting, but it's early, so it's not- It doesn't tell you much ... it doesn't tell you a lot.
