Matt Farah explains why he's skipping Pebble Beach this year in favor of Detroit's Woodward Dream Cruise, a gloriously chaotic 15-mile traffic jam of muscle cars, customs, and exotics taking over Woodward Avenue.

Matt then delivers a full road test breakdown of the new electric Porsche Macan GTS: $105K base, up to 570 horsepower on Overboost, dual-motor AWD, rear-axle steering, and surprisingly excellent daily drivability. Charging on Tesla Superchargers? Yes. Annoying proximity key issues like Polestar and Lucid? Not a problem here. Matt's verdict: if money weren't real, he'd drive it every day.

Spike gives an update on Morris Solomons, their boutique consignment dealership currently featuring a 1974 BMW Batmobile and a clean Toyota FJ Cruiser. Matt also brings a surprise COTA race trophy for Jonny Lieberman, recounting how Jonny selflessly stepped aside to let Matt double-stint, helping their team take the win.

Finally, Sheffield Watches founder Jay Turkbas joins to debut the Sheffield Sport ceramic tennis watch along with the updated SCR II blue dial and a sneak peek at a rotated-dial rally watch designed in collaboration with Jonny. Oh, and Joe Biden wore a custom Sheffield on Jay Leno's Garage. Not bad for a three-year-old brand.

  1. Spike Feresten· Host0:00

[upbeat music] Welcome to Spike's Car Radio. Here we are with Mr. Matt Farah.

  2. Matt Farah· Guest0:07

    Hello.

  3. Spike Feresten· Host0:08

Terrific show. I'm excited today. We also have Jay Turknett from Sheffield Watches, who's gonna be here after Matt.

  4. Matt Farah· Guest0:15

Call it a half and a half.

  5. Spike Feresten· Host0:17

And we're, we're debuting the new tennis watch.

  6. Matt Farah· Guest0:19

    Oh, yeah?

  7. Spike Feresten· Host0:20

We're debuting my new tennis watch, which I've been waiting for- Are you supposed to wear it- ... for a long time ...

  8. Matt Farah· Guest0:23

while playing tennis, like a Richard Mille, like a Nadal?

  9. Spike Feresten· Host0:27

Yeah, this is a whole new line of Sheffield watches called Sheffield Sport that Jay has, and that I helped him with this first one, and I designed a watch that I can wear to replace my Swatch Omega.

  10. Matt Farah· Guest0:38

    Got it.

  11. Spike Feresten· Host0:39

Both of those watches have broken, by the way, my Swatch Omegas.

  12. Matt Farah· Guest0:43

No. You're telling me- [laughs] ... that that is a, it says Omega on it, Spike.

  13. Spike Feresten· Host0:49

    [laughs] You want it?

  14. Matt Farah· Guest0:50

People waited in line for that, Spike.

  15. Spike Feresten· Host0:52

Well, look, I got a good- There was a flip market for that, Spike. I get- You're telling me it was plastic junk the whole time? It turns out it was.

  16. Matt Farah· Guest0:59

    Fuck out of here, bro.

  17. Spike Feresten· Host1:00

But that's why now- That's crazy talk ... you're gonna have the Sheffield, uh, Sport ceramic, which is gonna be a much better watch, better-made watch, better put together. Uh, those watches worked okay, but then when the batteries went dead about two years in and you take the battery out, that's where the problems begin.

  18. Matt Farah· Guest1:16

    Yeah.

  19. Spike Feresten· Host1:17

And most of them, you know, both watches went the same way. I took out the battery, I replaced the battery, I put in the new thing again, and, and the sweat from my arm [laughs] It never- It was there ...

  20. Matt Farah· Guest1:28

it's like IKEA furniture. It goes- Yeah
