You're listening to the Volleyball by Design Podcast. Today, we're gonna dive into the conversation of teaching and coaching younger athletes, trying to grow younger programs so that they can continue playing volleyball, develop them the right way, or at least the most efficient way, in my humble opinion. Um, and, and, you know, take a, like, start a program from, from the scratch. I, I got a chance to talk to a lot of coaches over the last few weeks, and the conversation, especially now in, in this time of season, was, you know, there's a... Volleyball is growing, and there's a lot of interest in the game. How do we coach the younger athletes? We're talking about the eight-year-olds, the nine-year-olds, the 10-years-old. How do we coach them? How do we create a program for them? And how do we keep them t- continuing to play the game as they get older? And this is a conversation that, you know, there's not much literature on this, and there is not a lot of opportunity to, for kids to play volleyball at the younger age group. But I'm gonna help you. I'm gonna show you a blueprint to help, uh, with this mission. So if you're a coach, and you're, you have any intention of coaching a younger team or working to build a program, whether you're a club director or just an involved coach, this is gonna be a great episode for you. And even if you're not, this could, could be something that you wanna do down the road, where you wanna implement volleyball for younger kids so that they can grow, so by the time they get to that 15, 16U, 17U, 18U, they've been playing for such a long time, they understand the game, and you can, you know, be more effective as a team. Anyways, this is an episode you definitely don't wanna miss. Stay tuned. [upbeat music] Hi, I'm Coach Brian Sing, and after a number of years coaching competitive volleyball and as the head coach
