The founder, the founder of Reebok.
Joe Foster· Guest0:23
Yeah. Well, we've heard more of you, I think, than you've heard of me, I have to say. [laughs] [laughs] You're famous, you know. One of the biggest sports brand on the planet. Like, phenomenal story from a... Is it Bolton you're from?
James English· Host0:34
Bolton, yeah, that's the origin of the Foster family business and Reebok, yes.
Joe Foster· Guest0:38
Mm-hmm.
James English· Host0:39
Great story. Inspiration to many. Like, I know you're friends with Tommy Mallet, which we'll touch on later in the interview- Yes ... who's another true inspiration from what he's trying to achieve and where he's trying to take his brand. Like, it's no mean feat to, to take something and take it to be at a global scale, to do that. Like, it's extraordinary. Sacrifice, work ethic, and belief, I believe, to take something to be mega.

You need a bit of luck, you know. And, uh, you, you, you... I, I think you need that sort of spirit, "Well, this is what I'm doing, and I enjoy it." And if you do that, there's a good chance you'll, you, you'll get there. And, and I know that Tommy has that as well, and, uh, um, different circumstances. You know, in my day we didn't have computers, we didn't have smartphones or anything like that. It, it... We had to jump on an airplane and, you know, with a fistful of, uh, American Express traveler's checks [clears throat] and go where it took you.
