The Biggest Dynasty Breakouts (Get Them Now) | Dynasty Fantasy Football Podcast Ep. 829

5/12/202632 min

Chicago might be the most fantasy-friendly breakout factory of 2026, and Garret Price and Andrew Mott are planting their flags early. This episode runs through six breakout bets, from young ascending quarterbacks to a contender-only veteran RB swing, with clear reasons why these situations could spike in a big way. Listen to This Episode: Apple Podcasts Spotify YouTube Andrew’s favorite breakout is Rome Odunze, pointing to an early 2025 hot start before a stress fracture derailed the season. With DJ Moore gone, plus Luther Burden and Colston Loveland helping consolidate targets in a Ben Johnson offense, the ceiling is back on the table. Garret doubles down with Caleb Williams, calling for a second leap from QB6 into a year where top-three finishes become the regular outcome, especially if efficiency climbs with weapons like D'Andre Swift. Andrew swings on Cam Ward improving with better coaching and Carnell Tate in Tennessee. Garret calls Omarion Hampton a potential RB3 overall type outcome in the right run-heavy environment. The deep value TE bet is Chigoziem Okonkwo in Washington, and the contender-only hammer is David Montgomery, a cheap buy who could climb on red zone volume. Start Using the Film Room Today! 1. Garrett Price· Host0:00

Welcome back into the Dynasty Nerds podcast. I am your host, Garrett Price, here again with Andrew Mott. Andrew, how you doing, buddy?

  2. Andrew Mott· Host0:09

Doing good, man. Always doing good when I'm, uh, talking some fantasy football with you.

  3. Garrett Price· Host0:13

I, uh, warm my heart, make me tear up. Uh, well, we, uh, today we are talking about breakout players, guys that we think in the past maybe haven't done as much or maybe have cooled off or maybe they're young and they just haven't had an opportunity yet or whatever it is, but for whatever reason, this year is going to be a banner year for that player. Uh, so we, we've got some names here that we wanna, wanna get out to the people, and there's gonna be some different reasoning, some different ages even on some of these players. We'll talk about that as we go, but Andrew, kick us off here. Who is your first breakout player?

  4. Andrew Mott· Host0:54

Yeah. I'm gonna go with my favorite breakout pick of the year as of right now, and, and the guy I'm the most confident in, and I'm going to Chicago, and it's not gonna be the guy you guys think it is. It's not Luther Burden. It's Romo Dunze who I think- Ooh ... is actually the breakout wide receiver in Chicago, and I just look at, you know, a couple things as to where this probably can happen for him in 2026. Obviously, this is a very talented player, a former top 10 pick in the NFL draft. He was truly one of the high-end, dare I say, elite prospect types of talents coming out of college. Remember,
