The A-10 Just Got a Massive Life Extension | Air Force Secretary Announces A-10 Extension

The A-10 is back. We are back. Now, to be fair, A-10 pilots would say we never went anywhere, and that is true. But we do have some big news when it comes to A-10 because the Secretary of War, the Secretary of the Air Force, they have said that the A-10 is not going anywhere until twenty thirty, which is quite different. While the A-10 has been planned to be divested numerous times over the years, I think it really was staring down its final days as numerous squadrons have been deactivated. I just had General Severin, who is in charge of the Ogden Air Logistic Complex out at Hill Air Force Base, and he even mentions there they had the final ceremony for the A-10 depot, the heavy level maintenance that occurs for the A-10. That shut down in February. So the A-10 was on its way out the door. Now, Congress did do a little bit of a glove save saying that the Air Force can't divest the A-10 in twenty twenty-six. We'll dive into all that here in a minute. We're also gonna take a look at Iran because why not? And who knows what's going on with Iran? It's anyone's guess. It'll be a fun experiment depending on when you watch or listen to this to see if I predicted the future or where we are because I think the next twenty-four hours, we're gonna see which fork in the road we hit or if things get continued out just a little bit longer.
