Okay. Well, this is Fleetwood Mac.
Jack Coyne· Host0:19
Yes, it is.
Shania Twain· Guest0:20
And Fleetwood Mac is one of my folk rock- Uh-huh ... influences in my life. I actually was probably nine when I first heard Fleetwood Mac or knew who they were, 'cause I grew up listening to, like, really old Western country music.
Jack Coyne· Host0:33
Yeah.
Shania Twain· Guest0:34
And then I segued into, like, country folk rock, which is what I consider Fleetwood Mac.
Jack Coyne· Host0:38
They were like, "Oh, you can do country and make it rock and roll and make it pop and make it everything." It's like- Well, they were my- They were blending everything ...
Shania Twain· Guest0:45
dreams because I ended up blending all kinds of styles of music as well, so.
Jack Coyne· Host0:49
When you were nine, did you know you wanted to be a, a musician?
Shania Twain· Guest0:53
Oh, absolutely.
Jack Coyne· Host0:53
Always?
Shania Twain· Guest0:54
Yeah. I was already playing in bars. In the bars, I was doing George Jones. I was doing, uh, Charlie Pride, Tammy Wynette. And then I started getting in, introduced to groups like Fleetwood Mac, The Carpenters- Uh-huh ... Bread, and started taking on those songs in my set list.
Jack Coyne· Host1:10
Who introduced you to country music to begin with?
Shania Twain· Guest1:13
Parents.
Jack Coyne· Host1:13
Yeah.
Shania Twain· Guest1:13
I'm from a small mining town. Country western is- Yeah ... what my parents called it.
Speaker 3· Soundbite1:18
When you're down.
Shania Twain· Guest1:21
This is a song I did with Carly Simon.
Speaker 3· Soundbite1:24
And you're vulnerable.
Shania Twain· Guest1:24

Speaker 3· Soundbite1:28
And you need me.
Shania Twain· Guest1:28
Who am I forgetting?
