    When did you start being a rock star?

    I started making music really late in life. I started making music when I was, like, 35 or 36, and I had just premiered a movie at Tribeca with Nico, and I was riding on a bicycle, and I was like, "You know what I should do? I should make a song." And then I made a funny song, and I made a couple other funny songs, and I was like, "Not everything has to be funny. I'm actually enjoying this so much that maybe it doesn't need to be funny."

    My best friend elbowed me, and he, he was having so much fun like this, and he goes, "Dude, he's playing Barely Legal." And he goes [imitates body thudding] New Year's Eve.

    No blood, just, just- Just broken [laughs] ... nose not on the nose. And it was Barclays Center New Year's Eve show. Go to the ER.

    I didn't want to, but- Uh-huh, like, you're like, "I feel like I have to" ... the person I was seeing at the time was like, "You should go to the hospital." And she was like, "Your nose is literally completely off." [laughs] I have a picture. I sent it to Julian, and he thought it was awesome. I remember my first time ever hearing The Strokes.
