Target (Field) Practice: Jays Explode Late to Crush Twins

5/2/202656 min

Sho Alli and Jesse Rubinoff break down the Blue Jays' 11-4 win over the Twins in the third game of this four-game series at Target Field in Minnesota! They take your calls and texts, and get right to the team scoring eight runs in the eighth inning to blow the game open - how important has Kazuma Okamoto continued to be? They discuss Myles Straw's big day, Lenyn Sosa and Davis Schneider both contributing, and Brandon Valenzuela smashing a three-run shot - is there a chance Valenzuela stays up over Tyler Heineman when Alejandro Kirk eventually returns? Plus, they get into a terrific seven innings from Dylan Cease, and discuss the injury to George Springer.

[upbeat music] Well, Jesse, quite the game for the Blue Jays today. They trailed one-nothing early, 4-2 midway through this game, but not only do they stage a big comeback, the Blue Jays absolutely explode for eight runs- Mm ... in the eighth inning on their way to an 11-4 victory. Jays now 16 and 17 on the season, and they will aim, with Trey Savage on the mound tomorrow, for a series win.
