[upbeat music] Andrew, when a lot of us think of a cave, the first thing that comes to mind might be a hole in a cliff face somewhere, but cave systems can be a whole lot more dangerous than that.

And a lot more complex as well. So a cave system is essentially a network of underground passages and chambers that have formed naturally over thousands or even millions of years, and some are relatively small, but others can stretch for hundreds of kilometers underneath the ground, and they're found all over the world.
