    Okay, today we're joined by a legend of Australian entertainment, uh, a comedian, writer, actor, producer, author, and per one bio I saw on the internet, a bon vivant, uh, which I just wanted to say. Um, this is a man who avowedly doesn't gamble, doesn't drink, and doesn't watch sport, so naturally he's agreed, or his agent has- [laughs] ... to appear on The Great Cricketer, uh, to explain himself, lest we all feel insecure. Um, in all seriousness, uh, it's an honor to be joined by Shaun Micallef, um, specifically to talk about his new documentary, Going For Broke, on ABC iview and on Tuesdays, 8:00. Um, ostensibly about the punt, what it says about us, our prospects of existing without being hammered by its messages. Uh, Shaun, welcome to The Great Cricketer.

    Thank you very- Nice to be here. I'm so surprised to be talking to you both. [laughs] Because I, I'm, I'm not, as you pointed out in the introduction, I'm not, I, I'm not... I have no skin in the game with sport 'cause I, I don't get it. And I'm hoping to spend the next couple of hours talking to you about- [laughs] ... why sport is so embraced so s- strongly and wildly here in Australia.

    D- do you feel like, 'cause I've noticed this in other interviews and stuff, like, do you... W- why do Aussies need you to explain not watching sport- [laughs] ... or, or gamble or drink?

    Well, that's a... Yeah, look, I think the sport one is probably, uh, I don't think I'd get funding for that. [laughs] If I w- if I did a documentary on, "Yeah, what's the deal with sport?" I don't think
