[upbeat music] Welcome to the Straight Stitch, a podcast about sewing and other fiber arts. This is episode 124, and my name is Janet Zabo. I'll be your guide as we explore all things sewing. We're almost to the end of May, and I don't know where this year has gone. We had our big plant sale on Saturday. I think I may have mentioned this before. Our little neighborhood where we live ... I shouldn't say little. Um, it's along our road, and it goes for, I don't know, maybe 10 miles north to south. Uh, it's called Mountain Brook, and we have a Mountain Brook Homestead Foundation, and we are trying to raise funds to restore the old original school building. There's another building on the property that we can still use now, but the old school building, which dates to 1922, is in pretty bad shape. So one of the fundraisers that we've had every year for the last several years is a plant sale, and I'm in charge of it. And I'm partly in charge of it because I have a greenhouse, and we grow a lot of the inventory
