Most of us had an adult in our lives that we looked up to as a kid, someone we admired and wanted to be like when we grew up. If we were lucky, that person made us feel seen, special, and capable of anything. To many teenage boys in Houston, Texas in the early 1970s, Dean Corll was that person. He listened to them and provided a fun place to hang out when a life at home was too hard to take. However, Dean's motives were anything but pure. In reality, he was luring these boys in, trapping them, and forcing them to meet a brutal end.
