Ahead of the centerpiece of Sir Doug Nicholls Round, Cal, where there is much more than just four points on the line.

    Big game on Friday, isn't it? And a quick turnaround for both of those clubs, Richmond and the Bombers, who both played on Sunday, both in defeats there. Let's go through some of the numbers to begin with, because it's not great reading for either team. Richmond has won three of its past 24 games. Since the start of 2024, they've won eight of 56 games. Not good. Essendon has won one of its past 24 games. Now, that's stretched over the course of two seasons, of course, but, uh, a, a dire record over that period. And since the start of 2025, that tally is seven wins of the past 33 games. Barring a draw, one of them's gonna get the win on Friday night, and the stakes are high in several ways. There's a possibility of the win, because how rare has that been for both of these footy clubs, particularly over the last 18 months. There's the mid-season draft angle, Josh, which [smacks lip] obviously will decide the number one pick and who has that, uh, for, for the following week's, uh, mid-season draft intake. And then there's the pressure for the losers,
