What's the point of cricket?
Speaker 1· Soundbite0:00
Oi!
Speaker 0· Soundbite0:01
Why do you do it?
Pez· Host0:02
Great cricket is a passion.
Higgos· Host0:03
We're gonna look at the perils of sweeping. Where'd the good cricket team, the great cricket team? Real Brad Man.
Speaker 5· Soundbite0:08
[laughs] If you're gonna do it, do it to England.
Speaker 1· Soundbite0:11
Yeah.
Speaker 0· Soundbite0:11
Well, he's out now. He got 40.
Speaker 1· Soundbite0:12
Who the fuck do you think I am?

Sunrise, sunset as the Australian days shorten, and with it, the cricket season itself. We draw the curtain with a season finale episode, contemplating the end of some things and the start of others. On the cricket front, the Asian century roars back to inevitable life after Boomer and co lay unapologetic waste to the skeletons, breaking barriers to leave home fans ecstatic and the rest of us indeed crying more if we have any tears left to give. England decides to persist with McCullum after capitulating the Ashes, but on the plus side, running India close-ish in a T20 semi. Four more years, they say. I think there's two on his contract. Australia apparently agrees with England to bin day-night Ashes tests. Alistair Healy bows out after skippering a win. Queensland and the Sackers will battle it out to meet Victoria at the junction. Big dance. There's our TGC with, uh, featuring former test cricketers and dad stuff. And on that note, on behalf of the entire TGC community, a big shout-out to Ian Papa Higgins, who with his beautiful wife, LJ, welcomed baby Oliver William last Thursday. I'm very pleased to report. He did the news breaking on Instagram first, of course. [clapping] You have to wait for that news to be broken first. With permission,
