[upbeat music] Welcome to the Ali on the Run show. I'm your host, Ali Feller, and this is where I talk with people who are doing exciting things on the run and beyond. From professional athletes and celebrity runners to the everyday amateur and back-of-the-pack runner, we are here to celebrate everyone and anyone who enjoys a life on the run. So whether you are running towards something big or away from something that's been holding you back, I am here to hold your hand and help you pick up the pace. My guest today is Sarah Hall. It's a big week for Sarah. Tomorrow is her 43rd birthday. On Monday she'll race the Boston Marathon. And Tuesday is book release day. Sarah's debut memoir, For the Love of the Grind, is out next week, and I am, of course, so excited and so honored to have Sarah on the show today to talk all about it, from the writing process and the why now, to the part of the book that made me gasp. Oh, yeah, this was fun to talk about. We talk about Sarah's Boston training and the fact that she has run three sub 2:27 marathons in her 42nd year. She was second at the Houston Marathon in January. She was second at CIM in December, where she ran a masters course record of 2:24:36, and she was 18th in Boston last year. You can pre-order Sarah's book now. You can cheer her on in Boston, and you can hear from her right here, right now. Please join me in welcoming Sarah Hall back to the Ali on the Run
