Ryan Lamb: The Gunslinger
5/6/20261 hr 16 min
His coach told him to keep the guns in the holsters. Ryan Lamb never listened. The cult Gloucester fly-half who helped light up the Premiership at just 20 years old joins Alex and Tins for a GBR classic. From locking a teacher in a cupboard to calling Stuart Lancaster "Steve", Lamby holds nothing back. He relives the iconic Bristol promotion playoff, his love-hate relationship with Dean Ryan, why he thought Premiership rugby was "quite easy," and what it's like running Plymouth Albion on their promotion charge. Honest, hilarious, and completely unfiltered - this one's not to be missed. 00:00 🛞 Season 6 is sponsored by Continental Tyres 02:48 🌊 Cornwall Cults & Secret Beaches 05:01 🎯 The Plymouth Dream & Five Year Plan 24:05 🔍 The Most Complete 10 in England right now? 24:24 🚪 "I Locked A Teacher In A Cupboard" 25:27 🚀 From School Trials To Prem Finals 27:10 🔫 Keep The Guns In The Holsters? Our guest is none other than Ryan Lamb. At just 20 years old, he helped guide Gloucester to Prem finals This is gonna sound so arrogant.
Ryan Lamb· Guest0:06
I felt it was easy.
Alex Payne· Host0:07
Really?
Ryan Lamb· Guest0:07
I thought rugby was quite easy. Walk in, and it's Lancaster's first day. "Great to meet you, Steve." "My name's not Steve, it's Stuart." And I went, "Yeah, of course it is. Of course it is." [laughs] And I just sat down, right? All I can remember is Goodey being behind a chair like this going, "You're gone." [laughs] Bristol fans abusing me all game. Now, I'm a Gloucester boy as well, so Gloucester versus- Yeah. [laughs] ... Bristol. As I kicked it, I just ran over to them doing the DD drop bang. [laughs] You know what I mean? "Ooh, unlucky, boys. Have another year in the Champ. Have another year in the Champ."
James Haskell· Host0:32
Alex Payne trying to keep the side going forward. Haskell takes it on now with just relentless chat. And there's Tindall to add the finishing touch of glamour and World Cup-winning stories. A dominant display by the good, the bad, and the rugby.

Yes. [laughs] Um, how was the journey up?
Ryan Lamb· Guest0:57
Uh, yeah, it was all right. It's not too bad. I quite enjoy it. Um, I, I wouldn't wanna drive. Are we going, by the way?
Alex Payne· Host1:03
