  1. Joe Devine· Host0:00

[intro music] Hello, and welcome to the TFO Football Podcast. I'm Joe Devine, and I'm, and I... Oh, I forgot what I say. And today I'm delighted to be joined by John McKenzie.

  2. John McKenzie· Guest0:13

    Hello, Joe.

  3. Joe Devine· Host0:13

Now, welcome to Ring For Analysis. Uh, here's how Ring For Analysis works. I read an article published by The Athletic, and John rings a bell that sounds like this [bell ringing] when he wants me to pause so that he can offer some analysis.

  4. John McKenzie· Guest0:27

I felt bad there because I felt like I should have rung something because we've been recording with a bell.

  5. Joe Devine· Host0:32

    That's right.

  6. John McKenzie· Guest0:33

    Um, yeah.

  7. Joe Devine· Host0:33

We were in a video studio, uh, earlier this week and last week. We were filming shorter versions of these that might run during the World Cup, and you had a real-life bell, didn't you? Whereas in here, it's very much a digital bell.

  8. John McKenzie· Guest0:43

    Mm. Yeah.

  9. Joe Devine· Host0:43

It sounds nice, and the good thing about the digital bell- [laughs] It's reliable ... it's reliable and consistent, whereas your bell ringing leaves a lot to be desired, John.

  10. John McKenzie· Guest0:52

I feel like you should have to experience how difficult the bell is. But yeah, it's very, it's a very- John, I experience how difficult the bell is on a daily basis. [laughs] It's a very temperamental- Is it clear enough that you're the bell? It's a very temperamental bell that we were using in recording because- I agree.

  11. Joe Devine· Host1:09

It is a temperamental bell. [laughs] Again, do you think it's clear to the audience- I'm gonna stop ta- ... that I'm talking about you?

  12. John McKenzie· Guest1:15

I'm gonna stop talking. I feel like I'm digging a hole for myself here.

  13. Joe Devine· Host1:16

Fine. Okay. Now, listen, uh, that's what Ring For Analysis is. Uh, today is part two of a two-part e-episode, so it's the final part. Today we're finishing the article Captain, Leader, Legend, But Is John Terry His Own Worst Enemy? That was published
