Kimberlé Crenshaw is a professor of law at UCLA, also Columbia, and she's very well known for writing about intersectionality, but also as being a, a great professor and activist and expert for decades now. Yes. Uh, you were a great guest with me, I think, in November. So, uh, y- well, you have a memoir out, so I wanna talk about that, which is, like, I would say great news, h- you know, hearing from you and in this kind of a link. But I wanna start with, I think, r- really important news from yesterday, and you're the right kind of person- Mm-hmm ... to ask about this, which is that we now have another Supreme Court ruling, uh, further limiting the Voting Rights Act. And I guess as we're speaking right now, legislators and governors in Alabama, I think Louisiana, among other places, are sort of literally talking about, "How do we redraw our districts to further limit the number of Black representatives we send to Congress and to state legislators, and to limit the Black voices in our state further?" So talk about your reaction to that ruling yesterday, first of all.
