Remember These Therapy Crouch Moments? Pete Does…

5/14/202614 min

On today’s episode of The Therapy Crouch, Pete is flying solo for a special AMA throwback as he revisits some of the funniest, weirdest and most chaotic moments from old episodes of the podcast. With Abbey away volunteering at an animal shelter (genuinely), Pete dives into a handpicked selection of listener questions that completely derailed the pod over the years.

We hear the infamous debate over whether it’s “Shaba” or “Shava”, a surprisingly deep conversation about losing memories, and one listener’s dilemma about open relationships that sparks absolute carnage in the studio. Pete also looks back on romantic getaway recommendations, cowboy fantasy holidays, and one brutal question that forces him to choose between golf… and Abbey.

As always, the AMA questions are carrying the podcast once again and Pete admits looking back at the old clips genuinely had him crying laughing.

  1. Abbey Clancy· Host0:00

[upbeat music] Hey guys, if you're enjoying our content, please like and subscribe. [lips smacking] Ask me anything.

  2. Peter Crouch· Host0:07

Shabba. Hi, guys, and welcome to the Therapy Crouch: Ask Me Anything. It is just me, unfortunately. It is set up slightly different. Abby's volunteering at, uh, an animal shelter. That's not even a joke, by the way. Uh, I'm in the studio, so we thought we'd do a special AMA for you. We've been doing the AMAs for, for a while now, and there's been some absolutely crackers. You getting involved has just elevated this pod to new levels. I'm gonna cherry-pick four of my favorites. Right, this first clip is, uh, way back in 2024, right back towards the start, uh, from the episode about [laughs] extraterrestrials, uh, memory loss, and bedroom antics. Uh, and in this clip, I start by saying the entirely wrong title of the podcast before we get asked a pretty intense question about memories. Please check it out. Welcome to Zap Po- Po- what?

  3. Ross· Panelist0:56

  4. Peter Crouch· Host0:58

That's the first time I've ever done that.

  5. Abbey Clancy· Host0:59

  6. Ross· Panelist1:01

    How very dare you.

  7. Peter Crouch· Host1:01

That's the Crouch Podcast. It's been going a while, you know. [laughs] This is the Therapy Crouch. This is, this is my favorite part.

  8. Abbey Clancy· Host1:08

[laughs] This is the Therapy Crouch: Ask Us Anything. I'll have you know.

  9. Peter Crouch· Host1:12

Don't... Yes, it is. It's a great time of the week, where the listeners get a chance to ask us absolutely anything.

  10. Abbey Clancy· Host1:17

Yeah, and we will answer completely honestly and to our full capability.

  11. Ross· Panelist1:22

[laughs] You sound like you're in court there, Abby.

  12. Abbey Clancy· Host1:24

    [laughs] I know.

  13. Peter Crouch· Host1:25

    Wow, you're swearing.

  14. Abbey Clancy· Host1:26

    Yes, Your Honor.

  15. Peter Crouch· Host1:26

[laughs] Do you want me to go straight in?

  16. Abbey Clancy· Host1:29

    Straight in.

  17. Peter Crouch· Host1:29

    Okay.
