'Rebuilding Tottenham Hotspur Ft. Alasdair Gold'
5/27/20261 hr 35 min
Host Ricky Sacks and Co-Host Billie T are joined by Tottenham Hotspur Correspondent Alasdair Gold, as we look back at the past 10 months since Alasdair was last on the show with us. Before the opening game of the season, Thomas Frank declared he wanted Spurs to be competitive in multiple competitions. By the final day, It was Roberto De Zerbi who saved Tottenham Hotspur from total humiliation. This was a season when years of mismanagement and drift caught up with Spurs. It was a disaster and the club must ensure it does not happen again. Daniel Levy was removed from his position as chairman after nearly 25 years in charge. Frank was spotted drinking from a coffee cup that had Arsenal’s badge on it. Frank ended up being sacked the following month and replaced by Igor Tudor, who lasted only 44 days before Roberto De Zerbi took over. Spurs only won three games at home and suffered 17 defeats in total. At times it felt like the drama was never-ending. On this show with Alasdair we break-down the campaign just gone and what led us to Roberto De Zerbi completing the most unlikeliest of final-day great escapes. [crowd cheering] If you ask me why I love Spurs, [crowd cheering] I'd just say I always have. They are not my weekend, they are my week. They're what I daydream about when I'm stuck in the gym. They're who inspires me. They're who excites me, who makes me think, "We're gonna do it this time." Who when they disappoint me, show me there's a tomorrow, that we go again. They're not this player or that, they're my Tottenham. [crowd cheering] It's what connects me to my family, friends, and my rivals.

It's my club, 62,000 times over. [crowd cheering] One voice, one home. My colors are blue and white. My sound, a trumpet, drum, and chant. With a cockerel on my chest, we're wearing Tottenham shirts. We play the Tottenham way. Daring, dreaming, doing. Come on, you Spurs.
